Funtastic Island Adventures

My family decided to go on a trip to funtastic Island in Gibitngil, Medellin. Medellin is my favorite place because its my home town and there's no place like home! Gibitngil island is a famous resort with coral rocks and black rocks surrounded with pristine turquoise waters. Some calls this place a "little palawan" due to its wall of rock that look fantastic. The island is quite safe since it is closely monitored by the residents of the area and the local government. In addition, the place is also a marine sanctuary, which is guarded by the local bantay dagat personnel.

We had so much fun on that day.The name says it all. Funstastic Island is a place where you can have fun under the sun. You have a number of fun activities waiting for you at the island. you can go swimming or snorkeling in the crystal blue waters of the island. You can also opt to go to kayaing around the island. The island also has a zipline for the more adventurous visitors. For adrenaline junkies, cliff jumping is another optiopn while nature lovers can go trekking around the island. 

 For me this is the most challenging that islands offers the 40 foot cliff diiving.(Mabilin imong kalag promise :P)

Zipline

This one is unique because all you see when you look down is water. Theres no point getting scared of falling ,even if you dont know how to swim, you are fully equipped with a life jacket.

Mainland cebu is home to some of the best beaches in the world. Aside from the white sand and crystal clear waters, these beaches also offer numberous activities that give visitors something to look forward to. Funtastic Island in Medellin is one of the places where you can have an enjoyable weekend away from the big city. 

Getting to the Funtastic Island
You need to ride a bus headed to Kawit in Medellin at the Cebu North Bus Terminal. The trip takes around three to four hours depending on the traffic. Once you reach Kawit, you can ride a pumpboat for hire to go to Gibitngil Island or Funtastic Island. Pump boats have a flat rate of PHP1,500, but you can also negotiate with the pump boat owners. Some of these boats can accommodate up to 20 people.
